Stacey

Stacey is mother to Spencer age 5 and Sydney age 3.  She is an organic fruit and vegetable gardener who grows 90% of her families produce intake June - October.  She is a member of the North East Organic Farming Association (NOFA) and recently completed the Master Gardener Program through Cornell Cooperative Extension.
She spent ten years working for the Oswego County Opportunities Head Start program where she learned the struggles families in poverty are facing.  With processed foods appearing cheaper and the rising prices of fresh fruits and vegetables, she is concerned that affordable healthy food is becoming out of reach for working poor families.

Stacey is MOMS-INC Manufacturer Liason and Treasurer.  She holds an A.A.S. degree from Paul Smiths College in Hotel and Restaurant Management and is pursuing her B.S. in Health and Wellness Education through SUNY Empire State College.

Her future goals include incorporating gardens into school wellness programs which would give schools and communities more access to affordable healthy foods.  As well as, implementing exercise programs that all children can participate in such as karate, yoga, walking clubs.
